ALO01 - Aerial Lift Operator
This aerial lift training program consists of class theory and a practical evaluation. Participants will understand the design and limitations of an aerial lift device, know how to conduct a pre-use inspection, demonstrate safe operating procedures, know the roles and responsibilities for safe operation, and understand the principles and interpretation of the "Envelope Management System". Students will have the ability to operate a Lift, in a safe manner, once they have completed this course. They will also get experience on two kinds of lifts: Scissor Lift and Articulated Lift. Students must be at least 18 years of age to attend this course. Required: Valid driver's license or learner's permit and steel-toed boots. Fall Protection training is recommended before training. Although you do not require the Fall Protection ticket for training, it is mandatory to have a valid Fall Protection ticket to operate any type of Aerial lift in the workplace. It is also recommended that students bring a full body harness and a four foot non-shock absorbing lanyard.
